Itinerary

DAY 1
Arrival at Marrakech airport followed by departure for Essaouira in a minibus with driver. You will pass through plains and forests of argan trees, a small tree that only grows in this region of the world and produces an oil highly prized for cooking or cosmetics. It is not uncommon to see herds of goats perched in their branches. A suggested visit to a cooperative. Lunche(not included) on the way. Check-in at the riad Dar Nafoura or similar. Dinner (Not included). Overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast. Departure with our local guide for a discovery of Essaouira, the former Mogador, a city built by the Portuguese in white and blue colors. Although the Essaouira region was inhabited since antiquity by the Berbers, then the Phoenicians, and finally the Romans, it was not until the 16th century that the site was truly occupied by the Portuguese who built a fortress and ramparts in 1506, quickly abandoned due to the fierce resistance of the local population. The foundation of the city of Essaouira itself was the work of Sultan Mohammed Ben Abdellah who began its construction from 1760 and conducted an original experiment by entrusting it to several renowned architects, notably Théodore Cornut, who designed the city plan, with a mission to build a city suited to the needs of foreign merchants. Once built, it continued to grow and experienced a golden age and exceptional development, becoming the most important commercial port of the country but also its diplomatic capital between the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century. It also became a multicultural and artistic city.
Visit the ramparts and the Medina famous for its handicrafts and particularly for its woodwork. It has been listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO since 2001. Visit the fishing port located at the foot of the ramparts, which offers a permanent spectacle in a riot of colors. Visit the marine gate.
Lunch (not included) then return to Marrakech. We will then head to the Agafay desert for a night in tents.

Option 1: Set up at the Caméléon Camp (or similar) located in the Agafay desert. Here, calm, isolation, and authenticity prevail. This camp is one of the most hidden in the Agafay desert with only 5 tents nestled where the desert and the mountain meet harmoniously, this camp is a blend of traditional design associated with modern comfort. Only 20 minutes drive from Marrakech, the camp has only 5 comfortable tents with chemical toilets and private showers that can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Traditional Moroccan lounges serve as the focal point of the camp where guests can immerse themselves and enjoy meals under the stars. A classic cuisine and other delicious dishes, specifically chosen to enhance the experience at the camp, are presented for the visitors' selection.

Option 2: Set up at Émeraude Luxury Camp (or similar) located in the Agafay desert. The tents are well equipped with a private bathroom and private terrace, heating. The good location of the camp offers our guests a fantastic view of the Atlas Mountains, a small olive grove, a magnificent sunrise and sunset, and an incredible sky full of stars. Chef Malika demonstrates the magic of Moroccan cuisine... this desert gem is barely 45 minutes from Marrakech.
The camp has 10 tents and 4 domes, The tents cover an area of 30m² and are equipped with a large double bed of 200m/160m, within each tent (which can be provided with a 3rd bed) private bathroom and terrace overlooking the pool and the golden desert.
Option ( not included) sunset camel ride.
DAY 3
Breakfast. In the morning, departure in a 4x4 with our driver/guide. We set off for a crossing of the Agafay desert to reach Lake Lalla Takerkoust, then ascend via a small scenic road towards the Kik plateau, which we will cross. Lunch at a local’s home before descending via a track to the Asni Ouirgane valley. We continue towards Marrakech through the Asni gorges. Upon arrival, check-in at the riad Mazaya or similar. Dinner (not included). Overnight stay.
DAY 4
Breakfast. Free day. Option (not included): Departure with our guide for the visit of the medina of Marrakech. We will start with the Bahia Palace and then the Jewish quarter or Mellah. The Medina of Marrakech: Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985 and spanning some 1100 hectares, the medina of Marrakech, like most old Moroccan cities, is encircled by ramparts that spatially delineate the old city from the new. This wall is pierced by several more or less monumental gates. The districts of the medina may bear the name of the neighboring gate, a zaouia, a mausoleum, a mosque, a palace, a traffic axis, or a traditional name. The medina of Marrakech hosts the souks which you will discover, including the souks of spices, slippers, ironworkers, copper... Each trade is historically structured and established in a delimited area of the medina, in the form of corporations with strict rules and a professional hierarchy with apprentices, mâalems, master craftsmen, and master trainers, guardians of the traditional ancestral artisanal know-how. At the head of each trade, there is an amine, a wise and trusted man democratically elected by his peers for an indefinite period, respected by all members of his corporation. He acts as a mediator and conciliator, to settle any dispute that may arise between members or between members and suppliers and customers according to an unwritten code that no one questions.
